Environment Policy

 

COMPLIANCE WITH RELEVANT LAWS;

We undertake to comply with the laws, regulations and standards concerning Environmental Management  and  aim  at maintaining the norms which are valid within the body of  SA-MO-PAR. We take care for ensuring that the products and processes are environmental-friendly during the development, planning and investment phases. We also attribute importance to creating healthy and safe working environment for our employees. We carry out activities in cooperation with other institutions and organizations.

REDUCTION OF THE LOAD ON THE ENVIRONMENT TO THE MINIMUM LEVEL;          

It is our foremost purpose to control   the  environmentally hazardous waste that we give out to the air, water and soil and reduce  their impact on the environment to the minimum level. We carry out permanent improvement activities in line with that purpose. While carrying out our activities in our facilities by also observing the rights of our neighbors  we aim at working together with our subcontractors and subindustry companies as a whole. We reduce the amount of the wastes that are emitted  as a result of our activities,  recycle them or dispose of them by suitable means.

TAKING CARE FOR INVESTMENTS AND PROJECTS;

We attribute importance to environmental factors in our new investment projects. We start our new investments and projects after obtaining the permissions  Legally required  for our investment sites  and having an  environmental impact assessment report issued for the Investments. We develope our environmental management system  by reviewing and supervising it permanently and regularly.

PROTECTION OF NATURAL RESOURCES;

It is our essential responsibility to protect our natural resources by using the  technologies that damages the environment at the minimum level as far as this is possible in terms of the technical, economic and commercial means available to us, to keep the use of raw material at an optimum level and extend support for the recycling  of the ensuing wastes properly.

ENSURING THE PARTICIPATION OF EMPLOYEES;

As all members of SAMOPAR team, particularly our senior management,  are  aware that the responsibility for the  protection of environment belongs to all of us and believe that we must  actively participate in the activities in this regard within the framework of our roles and

responsibilities. For that purpose we develop ourselves permanently about the protection of the environment through an effective flow of information and training programs. We also develop the sensitivity of our employees and suppliers towards environment and raise their consciousness about the importance of working in a safe environment.
